1st winnersh attended the panto on ice at John Nike leisure centre again this year and wow what a show. We had 100 of us attend this consisted of young people, parents and leaders. The family atmosphere was great and the Beavers really seemed to enjoy being able to get up close to the ICE.
We even had a Golden Ticket Winner with Young miss Whitby making it onto the ice within Cinders carriage pulled by the "Mouse Horses"
The Wednesday night is a charity performance, where chairman John Nike OBE DL chooses a charity for all funds to be donated to.
Every year Mr Nike, makes up the total donation to secure £5,000 worth of funding to the charity. This December, he has chosen The Multiple Sclerosis Society. 1st Winnersh think this is a very deserving charity and thank John Nike Leisure and Mr Nike for the opportunity to enjoy such an amazing show whilst knowing that we have also been part of a large charity fund raiser. It is not what keeps us coming back each year, that's down to the skaters and the hard work they and the crew put into the show, but it sure helps.
